So, I've started Dan's Desirables... It's a blog I began yesterday to try and write about the funky, cool gadgets that I desire. The first gadget I've blogged about is the iPod. Obviously, it's on my top-top-ten must-have, must-desire list... Hence the beginning.

Basically, I plan to update the blog with my latest and recent and not-so-recent gadgets-I-desire. So keep checking it for future updates.... ;-)

Oh and one more thing - jus Google Dan's Desirables and you might be surprised to find the first result that shows up. How cool is that, eh?!

Yep - that's right - Smithafied!!! To all of those who're wondering - what the heck is that - well, it's not much. It's just a meshing together of two lives that God brought together... More specifically, it's the state that Dan is in since God brought Smitha into his life. He's been Smitha-fied...... JC-fying life has always been a top prerogative. But without realising it, Smithafying my life has also taken a good precedence over the other things in my life. What I Want to Do in Life

Many of these I'd already either started or been involved in some way or the other. Some of these I'm sure, I can't ever do. But here's the thing - I finally know what I want to do/be in life. Quitting HP, moving on

The first question, "Where did you get a job?", is also the most unnecessary question. I haven't got a job elsewhere. And I'm not looking. The second question, "What about money? Survival?" has a pretty unconventional answer ("unconventional" by the standards of this fast-paced, rat-raced world). It is an answer that some have scoffed at, others have considered as part of "Dan's craziness" while still others have been left stunned at hearing it. Nevertheless, the answer is simple: "God will provide." Let me try to explain things a bit more clearly. Band in the Air

Looks like the band (that has been a looooong time in coming) could become a reality pretty soon... Bina Mathew (my bosom pal from CSI CE) hooked me up with a school pal of hers - Renu Kotian, who's supposed to have this awesome, sultry voice, and who's apparently dying to sing in a rock band. A lil bit of chatting with the Kotian cleared up preliminary fears and encouraged me to meet up with her. She's like this perfect fit for the kinda band that I've had in my head. So that's one.... Now, if only we could get a guitarist, drummer, pianist.... that would be lover-ly ......... Currently, we're calling it the Band in the Air or BITA for an acronym. This is a temporary name - it could become permanent. We'll see what our Lord wants. The band's gotta be for Christ, and the ppl have to be all out for Christ. We need to focus on personal purity and communal harmony. Dedication to such things would help us go a long way. God help us and show us all how!

John Schlitt's The Grafting - India tour, May 2008

So... The tour of Petra 's lead vocalist for twenty years - John Schlitt - is all set to begin. I've bought myself a nice white tee that I'm hoping to get him to sign.... and we're planning on printing out some vinyl poster or something. Let's see. But for those of you itching for a glimpse of the rock vocalist, here're a coupla pix of the maestro stepping onto Indian soil - at the Chennai International airport. Unfortunately, AJ didn't realise what was going on, and so John's apology speech didn't get recorded. Not even a little bit. :( But, I guess that's the way it's meant to be. :)

John Schlitt's gonna be Grafting in India, this April

Hey everybody! I know it's been a while. I just wanted to update (anyone who cared) that John Schlitt , lead singer and frontman for Petra from 1986 till their retirement in 2005, has released a new album called, The Grafting . He's gonna be touring to promote the album and it has been confirmed by reliable sources that he's gonna be performing in Bangalore , India , on April 5th. I'm definitely gonna be there. Anybody else coming?! For those of you who are interested in attending, but dunno what kinda music John Schlitt would be performing, I've put together this John Schlitt montage video. Check it out.
